Postby Pat » Wed 27 Mar, 2019 8:51 pm

Hey all.
I'm planning my annual pilgrimage to tassie and can't find a suitable walk/walks.
Would love your suggestions.

Here's what I"m working with...

-Hoping to fill about 8-10 days.
-Probably go in july/aug.
-Here's where I've been so far: The overland, Walls of j, Frenchmans cap, Walled mountain and Mt Olympus.
-Atm I'm almost certain i want to explore the mt field area overnighting somewhere.
-Oh, and I walk alone.

over to you,
Pat

Snowshoes or skis or just walking? Thhere are great options on the Central Plateau and Ben Lomond for all three.
If you don't mind a little off-track stuff, Tyenna, Florentine and then hit the track at Petersons and out to Mt Field. Plenty of spots to pitch either below Florentine, on the Field West plateau, or up on Naturalist. Out via the Watcher and Newdegate - because Tarn Shelf is a must do.
