It is that time again. Headed up to Mt Field yesterday afternoon to get some "before" shots. The patch by the road just below the car park for the Lake Webster track have started to turn. From memory they tend to turn early there. None have turned just below there at the Woodlands walk.

Spent the day summiting Cradle Mountain yesterday, and the fagus is putting on a very lovely show.

Has anyone been up Mt Field recently? Am planning to go up this Sunday and I've heard that it is well underway.

Went for another visit to Cradle Mountain yesterday. It's definitely thinning, worth a visit as it is quite pretty. Word from the rangers is that next barrage of strong winds/storm will get rid of all that remains. Has been a lovely Fagus season.
