Frankland Range

Postby norts » Wed 16 Jan, 2008 7:29 am

Can anyone tell me what the water situation is like on the Frankland Range?
I am meant to be doing the Western Arthurs in a weeks time but the West Portal is on fire an the moment and the track is closed from Moraine K east. I don't think I am meant to get there. I had plans to do the traverse last year and it was closed.
I am preparing a Plan B in case it stays closed.

Gday Roger, according to the parks and wildlife track closure information the western arthurs track is open via moraines A & K, that was updated on monday.
http://www.parks.tas.gov.au/reserve_closures/ but it would pay to give them a ring for the most upto date information.
