Postby bumper » Sun 23 Jun, 2013 4:29 pm

Hi everyone
I'am after information about the Kokoda track, Is it as hard as people say and is it worth doing.
I have been offered a spot on a treck in september and am keen to go.
A bit about myself, 52 male fairly fit have done a lot of bushwalking over the years,
My last trek being the S/coast track TAS in feb.
I know Kokoda is a lot harder than TAS, But i'am sure i could make it.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers bumper

I hope you can find my post amongst all the encouragement.

Just go for it ! If you havent committed yet, do it. You've just enough time left to get from "average fitness " to Kokoda fitness.
Yes its tough, but any decent bunch will make sure you get through. The porters and guides will give you as much or as little support as you need.
Do it now....or you maybe never will.
