Devastating that New Zealand is experiencing what we go through every summer, fires.

There were quite bad bush fires in that district only a few days before I visited last summer.
But this is a hut fire, not a bush fire.

Possibly man-made? Yes, it's not a bush fire.

nothing to do with a bush fire, probably someone leaving hot ashes in the hut, the fire is elevated above a wooden floor, people can put ashes on the floor, its happened before. the only natural fires at the moment are around rural farmland. the bush around the fire only singed the trees around it. a hut burns down every year in nz, and pretty much always to do with carelessness.
