Northern Afar

Postby Swifty » Tue 25 Oct, 2011 12:45 am

Here's some snaps of the desert in the northern Afar region of Ethiopia. The hottttest place on earth, but cooling down now that we are in the "autumn". Barely reached the low 40's when I was there last week.

Thee are a few perennial flows in some of the wadi's, as there is a lot of rain in the highlands that drains this way, especially in the monsoon June - September.
I've been back since, here are a few more snaps taken on my Mamiya 6 and souped up at home.
