Not getting closer, Hallu; that's heading back in the wrong direction.

This is dragging on a bit too long. So can I just say that if you go to this location, I think you will adore it.

Tick both. The only thing you won't adore are the ticks.

Yes, it is the Benedore River outlet, looking south from the campsite. Over to you.

Been a fair few years since I've been there but I'll take a stab - Purling Brook falls in Springbrook?

Thanks awildland. I have never been to Queen Mary Falls but they look beautiful.

I won't have time to find a photo to post until either tonight or tomorrow. If anyone else wants to post a photo please feel free to do so.

Okay, I just got back from a Mainland trip today. I climbed this mountain in Victoria (with about 100 or 200 others) last Saturday. What's its name?

Is it taken from the track heading towards Beehive Falls and Briggs Bluff?

No

No.

The rock face has a snake-like name, but naming the hill will be enough.

My research tells me there are two possibilities - Serpentine and Taipan - but the pictures I have seen suggest this is the former.

Both right.

Serpentine is, IIRC, one of the routes on Taipan. Taipan is the western wall of Mt Stapylton.

Thanks. I didn't get anywhere near that part of The Grampians as it was closed after the fires in January.
This picture is also in Victoria. What is the mountain in view and/or what mountain am I on?

It look like Grampians, but the only hill like that would have to be Major Mitchell Plateau, which doesn't fit.

Bogong? Near Hell Gate looking over the top of Eskdale Spur? (I figure if I keep saying that it'll eventually be right).

I'm quite sure this the first time you posted that its Eskdale. :S

You're right though - looking down over Eskdale just down from the summit.
