Snowzone, it sure is Mt Arapiles. Viewed from the north on the walking track between Horseshoe Bend and Mallee Camp in the Little Desert NP.

I suppose there's no rules about answering two in a row is there? It'd be Diamantina Hut.

Heh snowzone,
I do believe this is Blair Hut.
Arrived here one day to find 3 very well fed horses grazing there. One of them still had a halter on.
Later that day met riders coming down the ridge looking for them!

It certainly is Melinda! I have been there myself when a horse tour group stayed there overnight, so perhaps the horses know their own way there, after all it is a beautiful spot to camp. :)

Yes Snowzone, it is a beautiful spot, in fact that whole area is worth spending time in. :D
Ok so, on a recent trip in NSW my imagination was captured by this mountain.

Yes it's a bit of a drive. We last made it a stopover on a scenic road trip to SE QLD. Grand High Tops circuit + Fans Horizon is a great day trip.

Since it hasn't rained forever and I'm melting in ~40c I'm now reminiscing. Once upon a time from a rainy short walk in NSW.
Clue - it's named pretty much exactly what it looks like:

Thanks John. I've not played the game in a while since I haven't been walking very much due to me becoming a dad, and also currently not living on the mainland so any photos are irrelevant to this particular comp (but teasingly, currently living in a bushwalking paradise on some island down south , but no time to get out). But here is an pic from my past to remind myself I used to visit the bush on a regular basis. From Qld, where was I.

Congratulations on becoming a dad Andrew, if you didn't know you were alive before I'll bet you do now :D. You can actually post a shot from that other island  within the game rules. I'll be down there again myself over the Xmas break.

Back to the game, I believe this is the spectacular Mt Bowen on Hinchinbrook Island. I've not been there but understand this is a very challenging climb. I read Warren Macdonald's (inspirational) book years ago about the disastrous outcome of his attempt.

Thanks John. It has been an interesting experience, that is for sure! I have managed to get out for one over nighter and a couple of day walks since the little fella's arrival, and so there is hope for my sanity
