Yes those are them eggs, aka Pu'u Kilea in Hawaiian. Easily accessed off a dirt road near the Olowalu General Store.

Ah! Then let's try Buttermere, maybe looking towards Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks?

Curiously the Haystacks et al are in the direction of view - but not in view. They are in the next range on from this view.
Not Buttermere.
I believe the nature of the fall into this lake you can see on the right is rather unique in the Lakes District.

I hope my research is not leading me down the garden path.
Wast Water, which is England's deepest lake, looking towards Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Lingmell?
The steep fall I believe is a scree slope ("Wastwater Scree") formed as a result of ice and weathering erosion on the volcanic rocks.
Approx 2,000 feet from the top to the base, which is about 200 feet below the surface of the lake.

Well done.
Wast Water it is - Yewbarrow is the smaller but shapely peak at back and the large screes are the "unique" part of this view.

Rightho I'll take a stab and say those pale brown panicle features on the road through to the Southern Alps just past Twizel - never been up close but always tell myself I should go check them out when driving past. Google tells me the place is called 'Clay Cliffs of Omarama'.

Correct MM, Clay Cliffs of Omarama. As eggs says they are well worth investigating. Located on private property, you leave I think $5 in a box at the gate. As per my image you can walk up to and explore among the pinnacles, which are quite fascinating.

Ah good then I'll put it on the list - usually too much in a hurry to head to the Alps (especially as around those parts we get the first glimpse of them!) but nowadays with kids it will be a more promising prospect......

Staying in NZ...

I haven't yet been to Ireland but always envision endless rolling green hills. Clearly there is much more.
