Would have been tempting though, especially the Dolly Varden Char whatever they might be. As for the location, I dunno.

While I do enjoy eating fish, catching them has never been my forte. No need for any clandestine angling though. Apparently the Dolly Varden is a type of trout though Rainbow seem to be more commonly caught around here. The walk to this spot only took me I guess around 30-40 minutes on very easy trails from our digs near the village. Even my wife walked it so it must have been easy. I did come back solo another day on a more extensive hike circumnavigating the lake and then becoming geographically embarrassed on more remote trails, in the pouring rain. Mmm, something has gone missing here.

It is in BC but not Lake Alouette. You need to drive back to Vancouver then head north, but not too far.
Though very popular this lake is much, much smaller even within its own surrounds. And its name suggests that it's a bit hard to find.

Yes Greg, it is Lost Lake. A fairly short stroll from Whistler Village.
(unless like me you attempt to be more adventurous and emulate the lake's name)

Yes, in a thousand to one coincidence two Gregs came to the same conclusion simulraneously but GregR was faster on the draw!

Cheers GregR. When were you there? My wife and I walked up to Gokyo at the end of the season in 2012 (Dec/Jan). It's a beautiful place!

Where were we descending here? Country and general region should suffice, but bonus points if you can name the fjord.

I had never heard of Sognefjord, but now I want to go there!

Not in Norway. Not technically in Europe either. And it's actually slightly more southerly too!

Actually probably just South Greenland, but yup, you got it! Here is the rough google map point of where we were: https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir//Lab ... 516217!3e2

Absolutely stunning place to visit, 20 nights there and 24 nights in East Greenland probably my favourite walks to date. I seem to recall that this was named Torsukatakk Fjord on my maps, but I can't seem to find any confirmation online really. The body of water below I have seen called Aapilattup Avanna, and the island across the water (centre of the photo) named Pamialluk. Can't wait to get back there one day!

Over to you Greg!

Not actually at the wind farm office but near it, the big bit of concrete is the LA Aqua Duct. That was all I was really looking for.

Haha yeah sorry, I just meant the windfarm in general. I watched a few videos and read a few blogs to try and work it out, sounds like a pretty warm place! How hot was it while you were there? Did you rest during the day/nightwalk around there?

Here's another one:

I started walking at about 4am(a lot started early evening) and got to a place called Cotton Wood Bridge( at about 1130), all the hikers were lying/sleeping under the bridge. It was like a hobo camp, and as the shade moved hikers would play leap frog. I stayed until about 4pm then set off for another 3 hours to the next water. A trail angel came out to the bridge with bags of ice and made us all slushies, gave us pizza and sodas as well. So yes it was very hot.

Can you please help us out bigbird. The world is a very big place and few would have seen it all. For that reason a general principle was adopted when this game version was created to provide the country, or at least the continent (similar to the Aussie game where the state needs to be identified).
http://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18951#p252108

Also are you able to provide a larger image? I can't make out enough detail in that, could be anywhere from Hawaii to Africa.
1024x768 px is a good size for viewing and still keeps the file size small :).

Hi John, and my apologies! Probably should have read the rules before I started posting. And yeah, that one has nothing really distinctive, so let me try another one that people might know, this time in South America:

The last one was in Ladakk, in northern India by the way. Hopefully this one is more useful!
