Thanks Last, yes I'm suffering with the same problem.
Covid didn't help with travel plans and now I'm getting older with medical problems starting to appear.

Maybe another trip to NZ should be on my agenda.
In any case more people have been there so let's visit Aotearoa again:

A fair chunk of ice around the bend feeds this unnamed lake.
The lower landform opposite is named, and there's a hut somewhere up on the hill above it.

Yes eggs, with Kea Point across the lake and I'm guessing Mueller Hut is way above on the left somewhere.

Having been to Muellers Hut, it is on a broad flat ridge and would not be visible from below.

I have a similar photo from 2007 :). If I had to guess (since it was so long ago), I'd say Routeburn Falls??

You are correct John. Photo taken from around the 1550 contour looking back towards Rabbit Pass, just before you drop down into the East Matukituki

Thanks Moh, from what I've read seems a pretty tough walk in places.

We'll keep on the NZ theme:

Well done eggs! It is indeed Ivory Lake, viewed from point 2084 on the ridge behind the glacier. What made you think of it?

Immediate thought was to check out Lakes Adelaide & Erskine, but neither matched.
Then it was a case of scanning the entire southern island for the shape and RHS ridgeline.
Almost gave up when I stumbled on Ivory Lake and then noticed the hut at the end for confirmation.
Checked out some trip photos someone had posted online before posting the hint and then the answer.

Lets move to Europe
Happy with name of the Refuge or Glacier or the highest peak in view
