Time for another clue. I am looking at two named peaks, one over 3,000m asl. The (higher) one on the left is obscured by cloud. I'll accept the name of either peak or the name of the track I'm on, or any combination thereof.

Here's the linked image again to save going back a page:

No takers John?
We guys did take the left hand turn up the alternative track to Muellers Hut, but the girls continued along this track to get a good look at Sefton Peak and the glacier terminus at Kea Point.

This game has a tough crowd eggs, I was starting to think I was the only one on the planet who'd been here .
Yes, on the Kea Point track looking at Mt Sefton and The Footstool. The Mueller Hut branch that you took is behind me back down the hill.
I had a lovely day out around Aoraki/Mt Cook walking several of the tracks there, even managed to get my wife to join me on a couple including this one.

So, taking a leap of faith, could this be the base of Rob Roy Falls?

Keeping with NZ waterfalls..

Yep walked there... Had a quick look en route to the Travers Valley. Was surprised to see a jetty on the lake just below the falls - would make a nice day trip.

Is that Earland Falls?

My non-NZ international photos are severely limited, and I'm not at a computer at the moment to upload one anyway. I might throw it open to someone else who can move it away from NZ??? Otherwise I'll upload one later tomorrow... But if so it'll probably be NZ again :P

No takers then... Like I said I don't have much non-NZ stuff. This one's from Europe, should be pretty easy:

I could not get Mt Blanc massif out of my mind, but could not place the shot.
The multiple lines of vertical towers of rock there are stunning.
Eventually I figured it was du Midi on the mid right top.
So you are probably on the bench track between Le Montenvers and Plan de l' Aiguille.

That's the track. Taken from pretty close to half way between the two from memory.

Thanks JM, that would be the erupting Fuego I believe.

Back to NZ on a miserable day. The track was closed soon after due to worse conditions.

I'm not often a contender for the more touristy shots but I'll take this opportunity and pitch that its the track up the valley at Fox Glacier?

Correct MM, I'm surprised this didn't go sooner. Looking at the currently retreating terminal face of the glacier - a short walk at this commonly visited location.

Lets stay in NZ. What mountain are we on route to? The name of the plateau/'glacier' we are on will also do.
