Sorry. I read the rules but must have missed that requirement.

It's in Canada.

I've yet to visit Canada - it's a definite on the longer term agenda. Not that I'd be doing any alpine climbing, but is this the Bugaboo Range (Spires, Peaks)?

I don't what the protocol is for this game but no response in 48 hours sounds like my entry wasn't well chosen. The answer is the West Ridge of Pigeon Spire, an easy and extremely popular route.

If I may, I'll try another, hopefully easier, one.

Which United States mountain is this?

Sorry Orion, I would have got it next guess but was distracted by other things yesterday. Nothing wrong with your entry and you followed the correct protocol by giving more clues when there was no response after ~24 hrs. Unfortunately all the photo games have slowed down quite a lot and you often have to be very patient, but someone almost always solves it eventually. The international version tends to be much slower as the depth of everyone's experience is not as high as in Oz.

For this one I'm going to take a stab at Mauna Kea.

Thanks. I haven't actually been to the top but could tell of a night time driving "adventure" I had via the saddle road between it and Mauna Loa, en route to Kona from Kilauea (long story).

There is a major feature out of view to my left. I will be happy with the name of the valley I'm in. Bonus points if you can identify the valley/creek system I'm looking at.

Is it the valley you walk up to fox glacier? Which could possibly make that Straight Creek?

Yes correct L_Cham_67 (and eggs), Straight Creek which interestingly connects with Forked Creek. I suspect there was some glacial action over there in the past. All yours L_Cham.

Thanks johnw, it's been a while since I was there last.
This is also in NZ, and probably won't be too difficult.

Spot on eggs. Not exactly a bushwalk, but a fairly incredible location nonetheless.

Using the words of someone else, 'could be a few places'....... However having hauled my gear numerous times up the Matukituki Valley, I think I can differentiate this from the Dart, Rees etc etc valleys. I've similar photos looking down from near Cascade Saddle
