The cryptic clue went over my head but I'll try Clinton River, Milford track.

Not a river - this is a lake. Not the Milford, but still a Great Walk. There is a hut nearby..

Lake Mackenzie.

I thought of this when you first posted it but my own photos have tall, snowy mountains that are missing in your photo. I guess you took the photo from a less common, less spectacular viewpoint.

Not Mackenzie, but you are on the right Great Walk.
The name was in the madly cryptic clue..

It is the second time a shot with about the same view has been put up in the game

That explains why it didn't match my photos of Mackenzie!
I guess I wasn't in the mood for photography when we passed...

Yes - a very scenic place I thought - on both occassions.
An easy day walk as well from the Divide

The Routeburn itself would be a day walk if the transportation were more easily arranged.

I was siding with WFBW. But with Rona Island and the Beehive lining up (Beehive really is aptly named!!) I'd perhaps say you may be near Waiau River mouth near Shallow Bay hut?

That's right, we were camped near the Shallow Bay hut and this photo was taken somewhere near that. So not technically on the Kepler. I think the name of the game is "where is it" not "where was the photo taken from" so that would mean Walk_fat boy_walk is correct enough to just name the lake.

I agree (and I do think that the poster can use some digression when making a call on this too). Fire away WFBW

It's a Steven Bradbury win, but I'll take it...

This shouldn't be too hard (NZ again):

I'm guessing Teal Lake, but as I don't have any accessible international photos, that is strictly unofficial.

None of the above. While literally appropriate, it's not the most obvious name you'd think of if guessing based on appearance alone. Certainly need to "think clearly" about it

Not mirror. This is harder to get to than that. It's in a valley known for its lakes

Ok I'll relieve you here - Lake Lucidus.

Didn't recognize straight away as I've never approached this from the Wilkins - thanks for the hint WFBW (only seen it from above on the Mt Pollux Range)

Yeah you can't get a good view of the lake from Pollux itself but you can from further north-east along the range (Apollo and Mercury Peaks) - but the range is a real pain to traverse though......

What is this nice picturesque peak?

That's funny. I immediately thought of Earnslaw, but changed my mind when for some reason saw the front ridge on the left as actually something way back behind... duh!
