Yes and yes. Or Randonnée col des trois cocotiers as the signage said. Well done wobbly.

The break in the ridgeline is the key feature here.

Seems an awful long time without Hallu responding?? Any body out there aware of his movements??

Don't want to overstep the mark ...
From the rules:: If you are the winner, try to post a new image as quickly as possible.

If the winner does not post within 1 day (24 hours), the turn is forfeited and anyone can post and the first person to post has the turn.

I got nothing to post but its getting lonely here in my cave without this game moving.

Or should we grant Hallu till the end of the week????

Anyone, including Hallu, can post next according the rules. Otherwise the game stagnates, and ultimately may die. Given the slowness of the game there's likely to be opportunities for Hallu to jump in when he returns next. I know he has some great photos.

Old Man of Storr? I think that name is specific to one of the rocks but also generally?

Old Man of Storr is south from here - but of similar structure and more well known.
I think this place is way better though.

The pointy formation could be The Needle pinnacle in the Quiraing on the Trotternish peninsula.

Thanks eggs. Looks like it would be fun to visit.

Next, what did I visit some weeks ago in the USA:

Waimea Canyon in Hawaii?

EDIT: I probably shouldn't have made a guess just before going offline for a few days... if it turns out to be correct I will have to pass anyway...

Correct jonnosan. Waimea Canyon on Kauai, aka The Grand Canyon of the Pacific. This is not the most obvious shot I could have chosen but the views there are stunning. So, anyone is welcome to go in jonnosan's absence.
