Thanks Tyreless, we're visiting Waikiki again later in the year. I'm planning to climb it again and possibly have a go at the Haiku stairs (stairway to heaven) and/or Koko Crater railway trail climb.

Back to NZ. Looking for the name of the walk/track I'm on:

That's not a crop circle btw . Time for a clue - there is a large body of water about 1 km off to my left somewhere.

South Island, Canterbury region. On looping back to the start of this short walk via a different track, I noticed signage saying I was either on or crossing the Te Araroa trail.

Another image from a little earlier in the walk, emerging from the forest and heading left of, but in the general direction of the first shot. I'm out walking all day tomorrow, will check in when I get back and see if anyone has worked it out.

Many views but not a single guess, either it's too hard or no one is playing. I'll try a final visual clue for this track.

You've narrowed it down wayno. I'm pretty much bang in the centre of the Mackenzie Basin.

Yes eggs, a short but quite pretty walk in parts close to Lake Tekapo township.

Just to keep up appearances I'm guessing Killarney National Park.

I'll try again even though I haven't been to this part of Ireland (but will be in September-whoo Hoo) I am working on the assumption you are on the mainland and not on an island.

We did manage to walk in Connemara NP, but that was further down the road.
But Connemara was all I was expecting for this - the mountains at the back are part of the 12 "Bens" of Connemara

I'm taking that as a win then. I'm also adding it to my To Do List for September. Any advice from Eggs much appreciated.

This ones back in the UK.

I want the name of the body of water and who's seat I am approaching.

Well 24 hours and NO bites. Now I know why my mother tied the lamb chops around my neck when I was young. God I miss that dog.

Hint 1: The seat I refer to is not that of a sitting local member, but that of a famous somewhat dashing cavalier English chap from the Norman era. Actually, during the Crusades as I recall.

Hint 2: The Lake is in the Lakes District and part of a well known long distance walk.

Well its Ennerdale Water - looking at Anglers Crag.
There is a reference to Robin Hoods chair in this vicinity

PS - Robin Hoods Chair appears to be the small rocky part jutting out from Anglers Crag into the lake.

Oh haha so it is... Took your answer seriously and Google told me there's a moria cave on the north end of the sth island apparently. Not sure if that means you know the actual location and LOTR was filmed there... I'm not spun up on those filming locations (been to quite a few but not for that reason)???

I think he may be joking as LoTR Moria exit was filmed on Mt Owen - a magnificent karst area.

Your photo makes me suspect a glow worm cave

I don't think this cave is known for glow worms. It's more likely to be frequented by trampers than speleolophiles (might have made a word up???)
