I don't know the name of the feature and I'm about to head off camping so someone else will have to jump in with the answer.

Thanks eggs, I went looking for that post but couldn't find it. Seems to be some confusion with place names around that part of the world (at least on my part).
I can't find Hatta Mountains on a map and only occasional references (there is a town), but no matching photos. I can find Al Hajar Mountains and similar images so went with that.

A slightly offbeat one from North America. On returning from a 1/2 day hike I decided to have a wander around the outskirts of town.
I literally discovered this place by accident. It may be familiar to some:

Of an actual town that is in a different country to the one where I photographed this.
The related movie was based on a 1906 novel having an animal as the central character.

The real town is not from the USA. The set/my location is in the US, but about 4200 km from Aspen.
A lot of gold prospecting went on both in the location of the story and the area where I am.
Although in different countries they are only about 800 km apart.

That would seem to place you on Alaska (or the ocean). I presumed your clue was for "White Fang" but there were several films. The one I looked up was filmed in Aspen and Washington state. Back to the drawing board
