We were there too early for the autumn colour. Let's keep NZ on a roll:

Not Rees Track but it is very broadly in the right part of the world. Head west-ish a fair distance.
wayno wrote:that would be a um,, um cloud in front of an um um, mountain?

The name of the range or the valley will do. I'm not on a track.

Not the Hollyford Valley. I'm south of there although not too far. Went through there later.
I am looking more or less in that general direction.
Nobility, and probably the most prolific player of this game, might have something in common with this location.

I'm using NZ Topo online to confirm my clues. Sorry icefest, I can't find any reference to Mount Muir.
wayno, I defer to your local knowledge but sorry, you've lost me. So I'll review the earlier clues and provide more info:
I am not on or near any major walking track. I am not walking/tramping, just taking photos.
I'm just off the Milford Road facing NW-ish. The Hollyford Valley is to my north, more or less (while the Hollyford Valley runs mostly north-south, there is a big bend in it with a section originating to the west).
I am travelling north at this point and we passed the Hollyford Road turnoff not all that long after stopping here.
The name of a section of road near my location could describe the photo.
Other previous clues as stated.

Icefest may have meant Mt Moir standing above the valley leading to the Milford tunnel.

Not Triangle Peak. I'm south of Lake Gunn, I suspect the peak is unnamed. Just need the name of either the range or river valley.
