Lets try a somewhat obscured shot - from 2 weeks ago

You are on the Overland Track, near Waterfall Valley, looking across Bluff Cirque to Barn Bluff hidden in the clouds. Lots of lovely Fagus on display!

I will give it to you, but this is not the Overland track. Its close though - on the track up from Lake Rodway.
And this is Cradle Cirque, not Barn Bluff cirque.
It was a view I was looking forward to - only to arrive in thick mist.
Waited a while - but this was the best it got.
I have a shot with Barn Bluff above the coloured fagus bands from years earlier - and had hoped for an update.

Hi Bax67. Is that actually the answer you where looking for or are you after something more specific i.e name of lake?

I would go for it Wobbly.
Edit - this could be a pond amongst the miriads of the Traveller Range.
Or maybe more likely a tarn along the rolling tops of the Mountains of Jupiter.
In either case it is highly likely to be unnamed.

I was actually just after the traveller range. Eggs is right, unnamed tarn just behind the knoll south of merope.

Special kudos for identifying the 2 major peaks that you can only just see.

Cradle Mt from Artillery Knob. Lots of other peaks in the scene but in the far distance is the tip of Frenchmans Cap, and hiding almost behind Cradle is Barn Bluff.

I can see Eldon Bluff and High Dome too.

Its a bit pixelated - but is the distant mountain Murchison?
Might put you on an extremity of the little Plateau?
