I'd say you're right, the pic looks similar to one I have of Louisa Creek. But, what the hell, let's guess Faraway Creek in the unlikely event you're not right and my memory is shoddy.

I actually think your picture Pazzar is Faraway Creek - that Tea Tree rings plenty of bells.

We had a very relaxing night at Louisa Creek - all by ourselves in the middle of summer. Unfortunately it makes getting to Little Deadman's Bay just that bit harder the next day...!

For a bit of a clue, this would be a much easier location to guess if the clouds weren't there, as a very famous mountain is mostly obscured from view in this photo.

Barn Bluff and Cradle from Lake McRae area? I've never been out there, so this is a wild guess.

Very close - but it could be a little more specific. The tarn is unnamed and McRae is about a km away from here.
There is a named place nearby.

A close look at my map collection tells me that the old hydro hut out there is about 1km away near an un-named tarn.

Are you at the Hydrographers Hut?

If so, how's the walk out there? I've always wanted to visit that place. I've heard good things.

I reckon you might be right there Zane. As a hydrographer myself it's shameful I haven't been out there yet!

Yes - this is the tarn next to the Hydrographers Hut [Hydro Hut for short]
The scrub does represent an entrance fee, but apart from a few path choices that were less than ideal, it was a straightforward walk.

I think it's looking at the summit of Slatters from the ridge leading out there. Good call.

It is! About 800m from the Philps Summit looking to Agamemnon. Great walking up there
