One lump or two?

Strangely familiar, that camel hump. Is it the Mt Spurling
plateau?

Nope not Mt Spurling. This mountain is much more accessible.

From the excellent blog of one of this forum's members. He's looking at a landing spot 55m down, if I remember rightly. Where is he?

Not Minnow Tortoise, though he did a great write-up on those falls too - famed for being impossible to view from the top.
But the view here is pure wilderness (almost).

The Montezuma Falls. I worked at the Renison Bell mine during uni vacation one year.
From one of the hills in their mine area you could see the falls.
I am pretty sure the guys there said there was some old vehicle track to near the top of the falls. The above report did not mention seeing anything.
But the wild west hides a lot of old secrets.
We stumbled on an old gold stamping battery when climbing up a creek near Trial Harbour on one occasion.
And standing on the flattened land where the smelter at Crotty once stood - it was hard to imagine the wild bush surrounds once held a town of 10,000 people.

Yes eggs. I saw the same as I climbed Dromedary on coastal NSW, an incredible history of heavy boilers being dragged up mountains in the wilderness and now they're being consumed by that wilderness, trees growing through the great rusted pieces.

Yes it's Montezuma Falls on the Avon Creek. A fascinating trip and always getting home after dark.

Wonder if that's the Meredith Range off to the left.
She's a honey.

This larger tarn is a short walk south of the Hydro Hut.
There was ice in parts of it on this lovely morning
