That valley was badly burnt when I was through there. This is much more accessible than the Franklands.

This has got me flummoxed ... I keep thinking that outcrop on the right looks like something on the Needles but something(lots) is wrong...

Lets go for Schnells from Eliza?

Don't worry it did me too... I had to check my photos twice to make sure this shot didn't come into the wrong folder from somewhere else...

Not Schnells... in fact you would have been standing somewhere close by when I took this photo.

Well, yes, near Ooze Lake. About ten metres away if that's deemed close. It really depends on your perspective. It felt close but if the weather was inclement and I was tent bound it would feel far away

I wasn't aware that one was required to give a distance from the nearest landmark. Will try to do better next time.

I never made it onto Reed's when I went to Rhona. I took an off track approach and left the track just after Gordonvale and ascended the Denison Range at the Southern End, It was a stinking hot day, I was exhausted by the time I arrived at the saddle above the Lake Rhona Descent, so I went down and froze my butt off camping on the beach

No quite the opposite. From Adamsons it us lovely and open alpine walking. From Snowy to Esperance it is quite scrubby and slow. Did it as a 2 night trip a few winters ago now. Great walk. The section from Snowy to Esperance was *&%$#! though with no real camp options.

Find a weather window. You go one way, I'll go the other so we have a car at each end without all the tedious stuffing around.
