Thanks eggs, it was a toss up between that and closer to pump house point.

Leonards Tarn it is, and High Dome - though it's the side of Perrins Bluff on the right. (Paddys Nut is behind me).

It looks Arthurian. And I think I can see a line down just where it should be if that was Capricorn we were looking at.

I thought of Hesperus, but it didn't feel right. Which means that is exactly what it will be, of course.

edit: Yep, Hesperus from a little way along the track. One of these days I will check my own photos first. Or not, most likely...

Checking maps is quick and easy. Searching my photo files would take a year and I'd still mix things up. Laziness wins every time.

Now, back to the latest one. It looks Reserve-ish to me, but that's all I have.

You are in the right park, in the centre of the photo is a hut only for paying guests. The nearby public hut is not visible.

OK, Nereus centre back, Macs a little to the left in front of Eldon Bluff. The hut I assume is Kia Ora, which puts you on the Cathedral Plateau. Now to narrow it down from there, which means checking photos...excuse me, I may be some time...

I have a shot taken just a little further around the rim, somewhere between Cathedral and the Twin Spires. Fairly sure I didn't summit Cathedral on that trip, but I did climb the Belfry and go from there to the Twin Spires and thence to Bishop. But this is either on Cathedral summit or within a few hundred metres thereof. I think...
