Could be Trestle Mountain on the right there but I don't remember rocks like these near that.

Otherwise, on Thark Ridge?

Yep you got it, that's Thark Ridge on the right, and the river is the North West Bay river. I took this photo just south of the Dead island area.

I don't think I really deserve that. I would never have picked those rocks as being part of a river. It looks like a ridge top.
However, I'll take it.

Where was I last weekend - either where was I or what was I looking at?

Bit of a random guess but you're not on Flinders looking in the Strzelecki direction by chance?

Yes, we were in Lady Barron looking towards Strzelecki mountains. We climbed Strzelecki the next day and I think I lost about 3 litres of fluids doing it.

We I guess considering you were looking west, there aren't many places in the north with a south facing coastline...

I thought perhaps looking at Massif but don't really know what angle would make it look like that...
