Thanks zane. What summit was I approaching roughly this time last week?

Bingo, over to you NNW. Great little mountain that one, plus lovely forest heading up the 'old' track on the ridge. Will definitely be back to check out Shakespeare.

Was not at all sure about that - it's been a few years. Been up there three times now including the Shakespeare trip, and have hardly any pics. It keeps snowing on me up there, even when the forecasts have been good.
But it is a marvellous mountain and the name is one of my favourites.
How about this?

thinking again..
Loddon Bluff?

I'm glad someone has been doing some thinking, because working out a suitable clue is too much hard work.
Yes, part of the magnificent views over the South West from Lodden Bluff.

You may not have noticed that my first thoughts were from the Gonk, but I had to think again and edit it.

I'm saving the Jolly Green 'Gonk for when life becomes too hard and I want to make sure no-one ever finds my remains.

Where was I standing?

Looks like The Thumbs, Mt Wright, etc in the distance. You're on a dolerite peak, so does that put you on Mt Mueller?
EDIT - Mueller seems too far south, so Mt Field West?

You're correct with the edit
Field West is the answer.

Lovely stuff.
Okay, this shouldn't be too hard either

Didn't we just do this? Or is it a slightly different angle on the Ben Nevis trig?

Is that a early morning shot of the summit of Barrow Zane?

Is that the one on Heemskirk?
Sat 30 Sep, 2017 7:04 pm
No, but you're surprisingly close. This one does mark the highest point on the mountain.
