Thanks Geevesy. I should have got that first up. I've been on both and it didn't quite look right for Quamby.
Next:

A quartzite cairn in dolerite country? Interesting. Something tells me I should know this. Is that Picton in the back?

No, not Picton at the back, at least I don't think so. Wouldn't think you can see it from here, about 40km distant with other things in the way. Pretty sure you would have been here NNW. The views in other directions are more obvious.

Is it taken on The Needles?

Correct L_Cham_67. Nice short walk with some great views over the SW, over to you.

Thanks johnw, it's definitely a walk worth doing.
So is this one - where was I on this cloudless day?

This photo reminds me of Mt Weld? However I’ve not yet been there.
Thu 12 Oct, 2017 6:37 pm
Not Weld.
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 6:53 am
The amount of logging below suggests you're overlooking somewhere like the Weld, Picton or Florentine Valleys . . . You wouldn't be on the side of Florentine, would you?
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 7:48 am
This isn't Florentine peak. Weld was closer.
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 8:29 am
Are you on/around Nevada Peak? Wetpants to the left of frame...
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 9:16 am
That be the place! Just below the summit, if memory serves me well.
Over to you.
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 9:28 am
Woohoo! So nice up there.
Where am I here?
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 11:13 am
Well, that looks like Little Hugel on the bottom right, with Othrys and the southern end of Olympus in the middle distance, which one assumes would put you on the way out to Hugel.
Fri 13 Oct, 2017 4:57 pm
Yep. This was on the summit of Hugel. Over to you NNW.

It's always a relief to actually get one right.

Either everyone's gone walking or this is much harder than I thought it would be. Maybe I should replace it with an IOU and pass the game on to whoever wants to go next.
Sat 14 Oct, 2017 5:05 pm
Is that Dundas out to the left putting you somewhere around or on Owen?
Sat 14 Oct, 2017 6:36 pm
Dundas to the left of me, Sedgwick to the right . . . . YES, Owen it is.

Wow, there's life up there now... no wonder I couldn't place it, there wasn't any vegetation up there when I was last there.

Sorry forgot all about this.
Don't have many on me except this one...

What a ripping photo!
I'm guessing that's the view I didn't get in the fog from out on Geeves Bluff....
