Right, conglomerate, probably West Coast Range, most likely either Tyndalls or Sorell . . . looks a bit more Tyndallish to me. In fact it looks a lot like the bit of the plateau you traverse to get to Lake Tyndall from where the track finally stops going relentlessly up.

The big lake would seem to be a Hydro impoundment as it has many dead trees. I reckon the closest lake is Lake George, the big lake is King William, you are on KWI and maybe that mountain is Mt Hobhouse.
