Yep, Graham was close, but not Mt Graham.

Try Mt Dove then.

Dove it is, Graham. Felt a bit mean not acknowledging how close you were, but I thought I'd try to stretch it out beyond 8 minutes.

The background was pretty obvious. Just had to line up Picnic Island with the lagoon.
This should be easy - where did I go with my 110 month old granddaughter 2 weeks ago?

Ahh I feel bad for answering so quickly! But I may miss my chance...
On the way up to Sandbanks Tier?

Easy walk, easily guessed. Your turn.

Let's throwback to December 2013, to when I was last at a place which has been a point of discussion recently.
What mountain is this the view from?

Might be way off but my first thought was that you are looking at Nevada so that might put you somewhere near Wright or Dome Hill?
Thu 12 Apr, 2018 5:02 pm
I like your idea about Nevada in the background. Tim Shea or the Needles?
Thu 12 Apr, 2018 5:22 pm
Long way off sorry. That's not Nevada.

OK back to the drawing board.

Are you in the spires looking back to the denisons?
Thu 12 Apr, 2018 10:37 pm
I suspect the distant peak is Bobs with Crest Range starting to rise on the right.
Still difficult to place the shot though.
Might be a high point on the Razorback?
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 6:29 am
Well I am shocked. I did not think this one would be so difficult.... No one is yet to get close. I thought main peak would be recognizable, and maybe the smaller one on the right.
The lack of vegetation should be a clue as to what area of the state I am in.

Jubilee Range?
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 8:10 am
Are you somewhere near the Raglan Range?

Definite buttongrass country, but still not even close.

Not really, but probably the closest guess so far.
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 8:18 am
So we're not in the South West?
That rock is definitely west coast/south west stuff, but a high ridge with lots of buttongrass and not much else . . .
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 8:23 am
The main peak on the left is a very known recognizable peak, and the peak popping it's head up on the right would also be recognizable i'd have thought...
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 8:33 am
Gell and Frenchmans? Which would have to put you somewhere like the Sticht Range?
I'd love to revisit that in those sort of conditions.
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 8:46 am
Yes we had lovely weather on the Sticht, but that's not where I was. Nor is Gell or Frenchmans in (or from) the shot.
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 9:11 am
I give up unless you're going to give us some clues.
Fri 13 Apr, 2018 9:19 am
Ok well it's not in the SW.
Raglan range is by far the closest.
There are 3 Abels in the shot....
