Is that Ada Lagoon?
Mon 14 May, 2018 1:10 pm
Not Ada Lagoon, but not far away.
Mon 14 May, 2018 8:26 pm
Could it be lake Ada, with the hut visible on the far shore?
Mon 14 May, 2018 9:35 pm
Not Ada, and there is no hut visible, but there is something that is not natural in view.

Is it lake Augusta?
Tue 15 May, 2018 11:43 am
Double lagoon? I see boats, must have car access.
Tue 15 May, 2018 12:19 pm
Getting further away now. Certainly has car access, but no boat ramps.

There wasn't many lakes we hadn't named. Here's the next. This is near an abel. We found this when we climbed by a route not in the book.

Maybe up in the northeast: Mt Arthur?

Closest so far but still some distance away. Too far north east.

I think this is the one up on Taytitkitheeker that I've previously posted a pic of. Drys Bluff, in other words, on the way out to the true high point.
Wed 16 May, 2018 10:14 am
Correct NNW. In the valley below Dry's Bluff true high point. We came in via Westons road.

Still haven't found out who put it there or why - or how often it gets monitored.
And that would have been an interesting climb. Much scrub?

It would be hard to monitor as all the writing has gone. We rode bikes down Westons road. The last few km's of road past the weir were very rough. The walk up the Brumby's creek valley was very nice. The scrub between the valley and the heights was brief but intense. We came down a different way but it was just as bad. It was a fun walk though, recommended. We had been up the traditional way and wanted to try something different. We weren't the first. there were (useless) cairns.
