Are you on Clytie?
Fanks. Clytie it is.
Though I very nearly had to pull the pin before I made the summit - new medication, I think. Felt like I was wearing a lead suit!

Glad you persevered. One of the best sidetrips on offer is the walk out to Clytie!

Is that Mt Sorrel that you're descending??
Thu 17 May, 2018 7:46 am
Yep! Lovely mountain that it is! Very easy walk too if you do it right.....
Thu 17 May, 2018 7:58 am
Lovely. Very high on my 'to do' list is Mt Sorrel. It's a shame the Kelly Basin road is closed at the moment as I'd love to get down that way too whilst in the area..
Next> Not much to go on with this pic but it should still be easy!!

Could it be Disappearing Tarn?

Yus. That it be.

Thanks Doogs, you don't often see moss growing underwater.

Cathedral Rock is correct Rick. Not a breath of wind that day and it was snowing the whole way to Mt Montagu.

It's a great little walk along there! I have nearly the exact same photo, it was the same situation with the wind, But was far from snowing, It couldn't get any clearer when I was there a month ago. The views to the SW were excellent.
Where am I here?

Hill 3, looking across to the Hippo.

There's a river junction within 20 metres. One of these rivers is famous. The other has a shameful name.
Fri 18 May, 2018 9:33 am
Reminds me of the confluence of the Franklin and Collingwood rivers. Fits your clue too.
Edit: I have a dodgy-cheap-waterproof-camera photo from a similar location I think...
Fri 18 May, 2018 10:23 am
That's it. I was hoping you'd get it.
Have to camp down there one night - it's a difficult place to phhotograph on a sunny day.

Did you walk in or float in (or other)?
It is a great spot - so beautiful.
This next one should be easy, so I'll need the name of the more specific area, rather than just the overall area...
- Where am I ??????
(My 9 year old was a little out-of-sorts most of this morning's walk. It was the first time I'd taken her walking knowing that we were going to be rained on, and she didn't appreciate walking in the rain.)

Are you in the Valley of Hinom? Wedged between Mount Jerusalem and The Temple.

Walk, but it's filled me with a desire to paddle the thing. Way beyond my capability, but. I'd like to know if it would be possible to lilo from the Franklin Bridge - that little gorge is so intriguing...
Fri 18 May, 2018 5:40 pm
Yes. Vale of Hinom it is. Your turn.
Fri 18 May, 2018 7:08 pm
Thanks, name the peak.

I don’t know how feasible that would be. Rafters start on the Collingwood, usually. I reckon that even if it was feasible it would be difficult to pick a time when the water level was right. That section of the Franklin usually has just a trickle seived between the rocks or a raging torrent.
