Walk, but it's filled me with a desire to paddle the thing. Way beyond my capability, but. I'd like to know if it would be possible to lilo from the Franklin Bridge - that little gorge is so intriguing...
I don’t know how feasible that would be. Rafters start on the Collingwood, usually. I reckon that even if it was feasible it would be difficult to pick a time when the water level was right. That section of the Franklin usually has just a trickle seived between the rocks or a raging torrent.
Yes, it doesn't look too bad from the ends, but there has to be a reason the usual route is from the Collingwood bridge. But if the water is low enough maybe a mix of floating and rock-hopping?
What is the section from the bridge to that camp like? It looks to be fairly gentle going.

are you somewhere on the lower slopes of Mt Ossa looking across at Mt Oakleigh?

Hey Last, I was going to hold out for slightly more detail, but that's a bit too pedantic. We're almost to the saddle between Ossa and Paddys Nut. Over to you.

Thanks Tortoise. That combination of wallaby lawns and scorparia is deeply etched in my memory, though with less visibility.

Maybe near Mt Ophel around the Golden gate?
Mon 21 May, 2018 9:27 am
I think you may be a little further away, near Clumner bluff?
Mon 21 May, 2018 11:01 am
Yeah Clumner Bluff is the one, just on the Plateau on the way out to the summit.

We?!
Btw I'm thinking i should know the falls but can't think of it.
Mon 21 May, 2018 6:01 pm
We.
I think that puts the number of walks I've done with other people into double figures. Although, to be strictly accurate, I did spend most of my time solo, as the other two were more interested in each other...
You may have done it, but it's not in your neck of the woods by a big margin.

Creekton falls?
Mon 21 May, 2018 8:49 pm
Or is it Reuben Falls?
Tue 22 May, 2018 7:02 am
L_Chham has it - Creekton. Nice flow, even if it made getting shots from some angles a bit difficult. Pity we didn't have time for the round trip to Adamsons as well.
Tue 22 May, 2018 12:08 pm
I'm hoping to go back there sometime soon - it's a good circuit.
Here's another waterfall shot. Where'd I go yesterday?

That would be Kermandie Falls
Tue 22 May, 2018 2:30 pm
Yep that's the one, not a bad little walk, once you actually find the track! (LISTmap is different to reality in terms of road navigation
)

Thanks, I haven't been there in a while. Wouldn't mind walking to Hartz from there.
The next one should be easy.
