Spot on, Eggs. It’s the first little saddle from the top of Agamemnon, en route to Philps. Well, at least it was a good recce for the latter, on a longer day sans storms.

Way north of there John

Is it Georges Bay looking back at St Helens?
Tue 29 May, 2018 4:08 pm
That's the spot.
That area was the favourite in Tas for my youngest daughter.

Hard to disagree with her, I've only been there once many years back but I still remember the view like it was yesterday.

Woohoo!
Sorry, I forgot to look back at this sooner and I'm off on walkies soon. So anyone else can go
Thu 31 May, 2018 6:01 pm
Thanks Zane. Wish I was there!
Next one - note the 2 dots at the top, who turned out not to be 2 crazy young whipper snappers who quickly found their way down this formidable slidey slope and overtook us on our way up the next Abel. Instead, I got to meet Rock Monkey (who was 'slow', as she was recovering from a virus) and friend.

Cos I'm busy tomorrow, here's a peek at the easier route we took up and down the mountain in the previous shot.

It is Mt Gould - the first shot from the Gould/Minataur Saddle. Take it away, L_C.

Rats castle?
Fri 01 Jun, 2018 11:15 am
Right part of the state, and I can see similarities, but not the right place.
Fri 01 Jun, 2018 2:17 pm
It's very reminiscent of sandbanks tier but I can't see the quarry and the lake doesn't look big enough. Perhaps Mt Patrick, overlooking lake Sorell?
Fri 01 Jun, 2018 4:04 pm
Last beat me to it, I was going to say on the way up (or even way down for that matter) Mt Patrick!
Fri 01 Jun, 2018 4:13 pm
Yep, it's Mt Patrick, although it's looking over Arthurs Lake, not lake sorell.
Over to you Last.

oops, that's what I meant. where was I last weekend?

I'm near the top of an abel looking at another. I'm going for a walk tomorrow so if anyone knows where this was feel free to move on.
Sun 03 Jun, 2018 7:53 pm
Happy to wait, but I suspect it is Hobhouse looking to the King William Range
Sun 03 Jun, 2018 8:19 pm
Correct Eggs. It made me want to return to the King William Range.

Actually climbing Maxwells, having been on Pindars in cloud earlier in the day.
Your turn
Mon 04 Jun, 2018 9:16 am
Yep, it's important to stop and look behind! Sorry you didn't get the view from Pindars. Plenty to savour in such a beautiful area.
