Nope - he's already done that. He likes messing with our heads.

It's more a case of creating confusion. It's probably best to ignore the file names. A clue. Four letters in the file name are in the real name.

It looks a bit like Upper Liffey Falls?
Tue 19 Jun, 2018 6:47 am
Not Upper Liffey Falls. A fair way from there.

That is confusing. If you'd said five letters, I'd have assumed it's 'somethingorother' Falls. But just four letters makes it harder...

Parsons Falls?
Tue 19 Jun, 2018 3:46 pm
Let me help. There are five letter in the file name in the real name, which is not Parsons Falls. Still a fair way off, but the right general region and altitude, more or less. There's probably snow on these falls now.

Ignoring unhelpful clues
, let's try another tack - is it on the Mersey River?
Tue 19 Jun, 2018 4:22 pm
Unhelpful? Moi? Surely not. Also, it's not the Mersey River. Its' south of and higher than the Mersey, nearly due south of Lake Rowallan.

Toi! Bien sûr. Given that these alleged falls are in the right general region of Parsons Falls, they should be north of the Lyell Hwy. Can't find any nearly due south of Rowallan, unless it's the one just marked 'falls' on the Travellers Rest River.

Do those falls have a name?
Tue 19 Jun, 2018 4:58 pm
OK, an area I''m fairly sure you've walked: The falls on the watercourse between Payanna and Riengeena?
Tue 19 Jun, 2018 5:02 pm
This reminds me of the falls on the Arm River Track. Although these do however look at bit bigger than those small falls.

NNW has it.

Thank you linesmen, thank you ballboys. And/or lineswomen and ballgirls. And all other tennisy people, regardless of gender identification. Or species.
Where was this cold-looking bloke on this cold morning?

Oh come on, how many walks have I done with other people? 12 hours should be more than enough to get this.

Let's try to narrow it down. Are you on route to the Eldons?
Wed 20 Jun, 2018 8:55 am
Now, that's a very difficult question to answer properly.
No, I am not on a route to the Eldons. But . . .
Wed 20 Jun, 2018 10:30 am
Eldon peak itself?
Wed 20 Jun, 2018 11:09 am
Of all the wonderful campsites in the Eldons you chose that?? Looks like an emergency camp ...
Wed 20 Jun, 2018 2:00 pm
Not Eldon Peak. The Eldon Peak camp is much nicer than this.
Well sbs, it was dark, cold and at least one of us (me) hypothermic. Yes, you could say it was an emergency camp not a massive distance west of Low Col, although it's better than that shot makes it look. Just enough room for the three tents.
And despite the snark (and this *&%$#! cold
) I will throw it over to you or beardless, whichever gets in first.

Meltdown camp?

Lophophaps wrote:Meltdown camp?
Nah, that was in The Spires
Poor nnw is suffering from the lurgy... I'll grab this one as it's well and truly in the Eldons, a bit over half way from Peak to Bluff.
Next one...
