Next door to the Lodden Range, ie: King Willies? Maybe from Harold? Harold does have a number of spires like that.

Given the obvious track down below, I'm guessing it's in the Eastern Arthurs but, not having done that yet, no idea just where.
Tue 14 Aug, 2018 3:40 pm
Yep. Eastern Arthurs. Take a guess!
Tue 14 Aug, 2018 4:21 pm
OK: The rock in the nearest feature looks rather digital, so I'm guessing it's Devils Thumb, which would put you near the track junction west of Fedders (Hanging Lake Track turnoff)?
Tue 14 Aug, 2018 8:21 pm
The main rock feature in this photo is much bigger than the devils thumb. You’re not far away though ....

Looking back at Four Peaks from Thwaites Plateau

Gday norts! nnw was closer...
Tue 14 Aug, 2018 10:32 pm
are we looking at Federation from near where the hanging lake track junction is?
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 9:52 am
Now I'm starting to wonder if you're actually near Hanging Lake, looking NE over a rocky lump beside the track that is nearly 100 metres higher than the Devils Thumb.
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 10:26 am
As i was in the vicinity at the time I will confirm it's from Hanging Lake tent platforms looking back up towards Fedders.

Thanks doogs. That's an inspiring semi-view.
This is also a bit on the murky side, albeit far less awesome. What was I climbing/descending?

Could it be Clear Hill?
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 12:48 pm
Only if Clear Hill were half a state away, lower and with a different name.
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 1:40 pm
Reminds me of Mt Zeehan but I don't remember there being that much scrubbery..
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 2:00 pm
Maybe the track has been trimmed since I did it. Or it regrew after you did. But it is Zeeehan.
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 2:42 pm
thanks. I was beginning to doubt that I was ever there..
Wed 15 Aug, 2018 2:47 pm
Is that from the Cupholder?

Now you've got me doubting myself too... I don't think it's The Cupholder!!

A few of those summit areas are all similar.. I'll try Coronation street or maybe Coronation peak even?

Coronation Chicken it is (probably). I think that's Double Peak behind Mr A.

Interesting. Tried tracing that line from Frenchmans past Byron, and it goes over Rogoona, King Davids, Mersey Crag and Turanna Bluff. Clumner is a bit further west but still possible. Thanks for making it easy.
I shall open the bidding with Rogoona.

Good ruler work. Go to the top of the class. Rogoona is correct.
