Is this near Lamonts lookout or the Byron gap?
Sun 16 Sep, 2018 12:55 pm
close enough. It's on the lateral moraine above lake Oenone.

Looks like the Labyrinth near the Parthenon.
Sun 16 Sep, 2018 3:00 pm
Yes it really does now that you mention it... but it isn't from the Labyrinth.

It makes me think of Rogoona from the Mountains of Jupiter area. Maybe?

Very good Zane that's the spot.

Beautiful! I really look forward to going back up there soon. Summer time adventures on the Traveller Range are high on my list for 2019.
Name the lakes please

Chalice?

Nope.

This name is more commonly associated with other places.

Lake Nameless?
Mon 17 Sep, 2018 8:59 am
No, but you're a bit closer than the last guess.
Those "other places" have no direct association with this one.

Reminds me of a lake I walked around south of 40 Lakes Peak. The List tells me that's called 'Dead End Lake'. Am I in luck?
Mon 17 Sep, 2018 11:39 am
Nice name. Getting closer - within 5km. It is south of Forty Lakes Pk, but in a different direction.

Lake Field? I like the oxymoronic nature of that title.
Mon 17 Sep, 2018 2:25 pm
That's the one, miss-linda. Lovely place, although the surveillance cameras and signs at the hut are just a bit unfriendly.
Mon 17 Sep, 2018 7:44 pm
Thanks NNW. I'll put that on my list of places to go.
Where was I a couple of summers ago. I am not 100% certain of the name of the lake, so I'll be happy with a approximate location

Looks to be Eldon Peak from somewhere on the Tyndall Range. Maybe at this lake?
Mon 17 Sep, 2018 9:59 pm
So many lovely lakes and tarns up there, I can't actually be 100% certain, but yes on the Tyndall range, and we were somewhere about there. Over to you.

It's so gosh dang beautiful up there. I have yet to visit it in Fagus season though.
Okay! the lake on the left is named, what is it?
Tue 18 Sep, 2018 7:36 am
It's named, but is it Nameless?
Tue 18 Sep, 2018 7:50 am
