That's a cool bit of geology. Cameron?
Wed 17 Oct, 2018 6:14 pm
Cameron it is. That place is amazing to explore

Ooops, should have checked this earlier.
Another cool place to explore, for different reasons. I've made it a bit harder by turning the image into a silhouette.

Are we after the details of the silhouette - or your location when you took it?
Someone took a photo from the Loddon Range which is almost a mirror image of this skyline...

What from where is what I'm after.

shall we start the bidding with Frenchman's Cap from near South Darwin?
[Silohouettes make distance hard to guage]

Near South Darwin is good enough - I'm probably around 1.5km north on the plateau. All yours, eggs.

Thanks, Eggs. It reminded me of a lovely morning I had there. I surprised some friends by dropping in on them for breakfast.

Looking south from the Cap?

Got it in one, BHBH. Stunning morning, with blue skies and mountains rising up out of oceans of cloud in other directions. Never seen such a 'blanket' as this before, though. That's where we were heading - to Clytie.

Looks like a great day out there, I really enjoyed the walk out to Clytemnestra.

Lovely spot that, though all the beaches along that stretch are pretty neat.
