It was the quartzite Rick. Bit exposed for a campsite :shock:

Anyone who's been down that way has seen the beauty of the stone. I'm sure David Leaman must have remarked upon this part of Tassie.

Anywhere is good with the right weather. Make no mistake I wouldn't of been up there if at all doubtful

Didn't go all the way to Montagu so I may do that next time I visit.

It's a brilliant little walk especially along Montagu Thumbs

I had original wondered about Lake Hayes, but checking from the Watcher confirmed a negative - but then I looked at the other end and rotated...
So maybe Hayes from Naturalist Peak?
