Pretty tough - NNW - you're looking at the north east ridge off Hayes - probably from Procyon

That sounds about right. Definitely from Procyon. A relief to finally get decent weather on that stretch and knock it off.
So, over to you, eggs.

Hayes is a very rugged peak.

Next one is a bit of a personal favourite

Are you near the Frenchmans Cap summit turn-off? Looking at the Lions Head?

General idea is there - I believe we were well above the turnoff and on the way up.
Lions Head will be just out of view to the right.
The ridge in view leads down to the Irenabyss

OK, so where did I 'rescue' this young lady as she drifted past after losing her footing?

Looks like somewhere on the upper mersey. I hope that was on the way home, not the way out.

It was the Mersey and it was on the way home.

I should ask for something a little more precise though.

That's it Last. On the way out of Lees Paddocks after my second visit there. For my first two trips through there, we did not even know there was supposed to be a bridge as the bridge had been destroyed by floods beforehand. We just assumed this was how everybody crossed the river.

My first visit to Lees Paddocks (not long before this one) was after walking the Never Never. On that occasion, we tried crossing at several different spots, until it was well after dark, but kept getting thwarted by chest-deep water. Eventually we came across a PWS ranger (that we happened to know - Tasmania is so small) at Pine Hut Plain. We jumped into the back of his ute and he drove us across the river and then back to the Moses Creek track where we'd left our car.

Let's try to narrow it down. Are you in the Southern Ranges?

Reminded me of looking at Mt Tor from black Bluff initially, but I don't think it's that because st valentines peak isn't in sight?

You have understood the clue ILUV but the answer is incorrect. There is another nearby abel that also fits the clue.

While I was typing Johnw has given the correct answer, Recondite Knob. Mt Beecroft in the foreground, Mt Tor in the rh rear.

Thanks, I lucked upon a similar image that 90% confirmed my guesstimate.
