I camped in the bottom of the divide before going further south, unfortunately mostly in thick cloud. Plenty of good camping near Goodwin or Odo tarn though.

Hopefully it won't be too long before it clicks. There are 2 Abels in this shot.
And this was a great walk, very beautiful country.

Is that a clue? Long Tarn, with Mersey Crag on the left and Turrana Bluff on the right?
Tue 10 Dec, 2019 10:36 am

A great location Graham. Next one. The place to be this time of the year.
Wed 11 Dec, 2019 9:14 am
Jaffa Vale, close to Dixons Kingdom. Lake Ball visible at the bottom end of the valley.
Edit: Yep... pretty confident that's the same rocky hill on the left (west end of the Great Pine Tier?). Although our weather a couple of weeks ago was mostly rain which occasionally turned to snow.

I think that means I got it right. Yes, definitely great to be on the central plateau during December, and particularly in the Walls. It's years since I've managed to go bush in December and this year will be another blank December for me.
This should be easy... Where were these kids lounging about?

Mt Doris?
Wed 11 Dec, 2019 3:57 pm
Yes. Summit of Mt Doris it is.
