I saw something like this on Flinders Island but I don't think I could see Adamsons Peak from there.

This is stackys bight on flinders you are right about that.
I can see the similarities in the background but it certainly isn't Adamsons.

I'll take that as a win, I guess. I recognised the feature straight away but then I doubted myself because I really thought that was Adamsons Peak in the background.

Yep! I recently read that a taller tree was found in Borneo which has knocked Centurion back to 3rd on the list of tallest tree's in the world.

I heard somewhere it got 2 metres taller after the undergrowth was burnt off after the geeveston fires.

Really? I've seen some photos after it burnt. Hopefully the old thing survives a while longer as it was still actively growing.
