Often! There are some clue police around here. Clue time! Or it stays boring...

If a question is asked, I'll answer it. The same way Ive played the game for the last 14years.
Errm so both peaks are over 1200m but I don't think they are abels

Is it in the Lake St Clair area?

We've been doing this for 14 years?!
It looks kind of Mt Fieldish to me. But whenever I think of a lake anywhere that looks like that, I still can't make the bumps fit.

Scary huh.
Not in Mt Field nor C-LSC NP

Wild guess - Clarence Lagoon?
Tue 30 Mar, 2021 8:52 am
Not Clarence (still a fair distance off but probably the closest so far) You can drive to this spot (just) and the peaks in question are fairly well known to most walkers.

Uh-oh it's been 24hrs. I better offer up another voluntary clue....
One of those peaks shares it's name with a famous Tasmanian bushman

White Spur Lake?
Wed 31 Mar, 2021 12:47 pm
Lake Fergus?
Wed 31 Mar, 2021 1:14 pm
Not sure where white spur lake is, and you can't see any peaks from Fergus.
Wed 31 Mar, 2021 1:23 pm
White Spur is a new dam on the West Coast - unlikely since the peaks don't reach 1200m in the vicinity.
I have not been in the area, but is Clarks Timber one of your lumps?
Wed 31 Mar, 2021 2:05 pm
Hmm no it's not west coast you're right there. Kind of only leaves one area huh....
Hmmm I'm not familiar with that one either eggs? I'll say no as these 2 lumps are both well known peaks to most bushwalkers.

King William?

Further away again. Fergus still closest.
So it's not west, cradle-LSC or SW
The peaks aren't abels though well over 1300m
There are 4 or 5 abels within 3 - 4k's of me.
One of the peaks is named after a famous Tasmanian bushman, the other named after a fall
And you can drive here (just)
Fresh clue ... hmmm the lake is natural but named after a destroyer of the Tasmanian wilderness.
Thu 01 Apr, 2021 7:08 pm
The lake is named after a destroyer of the Tas wilderness and you can drive to it. Not Gunns Lake?
Thu 01 Apr, 2021 8:04 pm
Yes it's gunns lake.
