I've not the foggiest idea of where you are but that is a great looking tent Eggs.

I think I bought it for our honeymoon [83]. Had to replace the aluminium poles with steel after a strong wind bent them.
At 5kg too heavy to carry now, but still about to use it car camping.
Just had to tape up some holes.
We were not great adventurers back in 86. So this is next to a fairly well used track.

Sat 03 Apr, 2021 10:04 am
Sure was.

I think you have posted that before - or it might be I remember camping close by at a similar time.
Where was I last week?

Not too far from Cathedral but I’m not sure I could see it when I climbed the mountain on the left on this morning.

Explains why the hut and helipad aren't in sight.
I'm on my phone, so this screenshot will have to do. Where is this?

Clue time - this place has an official name, and a track to it that is shown on LISTmap. I'm also looking south in the picture.

I watched a couple of your videos earlier Lucas trying to guess this, but this wasn't in them
.
I'm sure I've visited the general area and the view looks familiar, but I've said that before
.
I haven't quite walked to it but I think you could be at the Devils Throne.

This is indeed the Devil's Throne. Seemed like a working bee had been through there recently, it was pretty well pruned.

Good to know for next time. That track was pretty overgrown when I was there, so I went up to Thark Ridge.

It was like a giant wet sponge, the whole state was awash at the time. We got caught in a downpour just before the photo.
Looks like from the short walk to Pine Lake. I have similar photos in some very foul, freezing weather. The wind/chill was unbelievable.
- Not a game photo

Pine Lake indeed, when it was very full. Note grass under water.

Not the Tyndalls, about 90km from there as the crow flies.
Mainly conglomerate I believe, more evident at higher elevations I'm descending from.

that distance would make it the Denisons? Been a lot of growth if it is
