If I'm reading the map correctly, both answers are very close. Yes, from Mts Cole and Buangor, the Grampians do present these shapes, but I was viewing them from a very different angle.

So - we have named the distant ranges as requested..
One generic as in Grampians - one specific as in Victoria Range
So what is required next...?

Eggs, the generic wasn't a suitable answer. I refer to you recent comment about the generic "Flinders" also not being correct.

Victoria Range is also incorrect.

So, what's next is that commando correctly named Major Mitchell. (Although it's not as viewed from Dunkeld. Not that the vantage point is required in the answer. I only mention that by way of a hint.) I wanted names (plural) of ranges and there is a second (obvious) one.

Eggs, you've got it. A view to the southeast from the *&^%$#@! Ears area. NB idiotic American spell check in operation.

Edit: Or more correctly, idiotic misplaced censorship. But my fault for not using the indigenous place name—Djibalara.

I'm thinking that that there thing is Lltharkelipeke (Giles), but I can't find a shot that matches that angle.

Its very reminiscent or Trephina Gorge - but does not match.
I have not been to anything similar in the East Macs - but maybe John Hayes Rockhole - that we did not get to.

Pity you didn't get to it, especially via the loop track from Trephiina, because then you would have passed this spot. John Hayes is what Ii was after. Thank you.

It was a family trip and we packed a lot in with small kids - my son had a go at swimming in the freezing water at Trephina.

Thanks Eggs, I was lucky enough to have just spent the night on top of the Bluff. What an amazing spot.

Let’s keep it in the NT. This should be easy enough. Name the feature in front of me.

On closer inspection, you seem to have the tops of both Dib & a more distant Dab in the photo.
I will probably only have time to get to Dab very early - a big day is planned up Bathtub Creek after that.

Lets shift to Qld - name this cape.

I assume you are referring to the Scouting movement's Dib-Dab-Dob slogan. I never did understand what that meant. But I will Dob in the questionable ethics on certain issues of Lord Baden Powell. Did he climb the ABC Range? Probably not—and to his disadvantage, I am sure we would conclude.

About to post, I see eggs has progressed while I dabbled.

Go straight up from the Taringa Saddle sign. The two peaks are only ten minutes apart, so surely you can manage to do both.
