You're all heart. But I can't place it. Looks more like KNP than Victoria to me. Unless it's somewhere on or near the BHP.

One does one's best to be generous. It's on the Bogong High Plains.

Okay, another question: is that lump in the background Mt Cope?

Not Cope. I'm facing approximately north. Look carefully just below the ridge and you should see a vehicular track. It's within 2 kilometres of Ryders Huts. There's only one place that fits this description.

I'd say your in High Plains Creek, looking up at just a good old 'lump in the background' (no name High Plains) with that aqueduct road just below the high point.

Correct. This is the loop south of Bundara, aka lump. The management track in the pic is about a kilometre west of Ryders. This was as far as I got - it was very steep and rocky downstream. However, it's a nice walk down from Jim or the ridge and spur east of pole 290.

Yeah I figured you were doing some sort of bush bashing.....

My full archives aren't accessible at the moment - will go with an easy one from nearby the last. Where is this bloke sweet talking his missus in an attempt (perhaps failed) to ease the fact he has ditched the family and hit the hills for a few days?

Do we get a state? Could be NSW or Victoria. Probably not Larapinta.

Sorry my 'nearby the last' comment was supposed to suggest that it is in fact Victoria. You are all close but no-one has it yet

Your a little cooler than you were before eggs, but warmer than nnw. Sorry Lop can't comment on your Crows Nest guess as you have shown my Victorian ignorance (don't actually know where it is!), but your first guess was half on the money.

I have some zoom on the shot

OK, this is not strictly according to the rules (as it's not a skyline). However, it is in a National Park (Alpine National Park) - in Victoria. These plaques are just a few steps off the top of which peak ?

plaques.JPG
just off the summit of Mt Selwyn

I don't know the story behind these but I guess it's father and son.

Selwyn. I have photos of those plaques somewhere in the system as well. Although the typo really annoys me.

It must be one of those "what you're expecting to read" things as opposed to what you are really reading but it took me ages to find the typo.
I almost asked for it to pointed out  Nothing worse than people who don't talk and spell proper.

Interesting - while discussing the typo on the plaque both of the last two posts have typos of their own,
