Yep. Well done. Your turn.

Over a hundred years ago Myles Dunphy and Herbert “Bert” Gallop undertook a now classic trip to the kowmung river. It's said that the journey inspired the modern sport of bushwalking in NSW. Megalith ridge was part of the route and you can see today the same stone 'megaliths' that the party saw and sketched in 1914.

There was a reenactment trip in 2014 and a couple of forum members took part.

Was a complete guess as I've never done that ridge (or anywhere on the Kowmung upstream from Church Ck, which I should rectify), only read about it. NSW again, some pretty recognisable features:Image

I really shouldn't have gone, seeing as I don't have access to my photos right now. :(

I just recognised it and couldn't help myself :D

It Is Wyperfeld NP (again), looking south from the intersection of the walking track from Wonga and Everard Track. Sorry, but I thought "ain't too far" and "much, very much closer" might have provided the answer.

Maybe LachlanB or puredingo might have access to photographs now?

One for the Hobbits.

The abomination on the horizon is a pretty good clue for those unlucky enough to be familiar with it.

(And that rare beauty in the foreground is the missus, NOT me.)

There's not much detail in that photo, but I'm guessing the horizon feature is the coal loader at Clarence (between Bell and Lithgow). And the ground does look like the sandy soil found around the Wollangambe. But I don't get the clue about hobbits.

1. Can you confirm which state your photo is in?
2. What exactly are you asking for here? ... Name of the national park, name of the track, name of a feature just out of the photo, name of your wife...

Hmmm. Fair enough, ribuck. It is a little obscure but it was literally the only photo I had on my phone and it took me about 72 hours of fiddling around to resize it! So I went with it.

No one is guessing so I'll just go ahead and tell you, shall I?

It is in NSW.

It is in the Royal National Park

We are on, or close to, the temptation Ck trail at Anana hill.

That construction in the distance is a monstrosity eyesore being built on an old brick pit in the Sutherland Shire (Hobbits)

And my lovely wife is named Ruth.

Next....

Potentially the most dramatic section of the Heysen Trail.

Yourambulla Range, west of Hawker (which advertises itself as Gateway to the the Flinders, or something like that). But the view from there certainly does validate that opinion.
