Mt Jellore in the background. Are you looking towards Ahearn lookout, maybe from somewhere above Troys Creek?

Just to start narrowing it down....

That looks like Mt Jellore in the middle of the photo.

Thanks Michael. Can't say I've been to that exact spot but I walked up the Troys Creek track from Emmetts Flat years ago and remember a similar view.

Not the Grotto at Fitzroy Falls. This location is probably a fair bit over 100km north-ish from there as the crow flies. Or approx. 170km by the fastest road route/2+ hours drive.

Oakland Falls is correct jonnosan. One of several lovely small waterfalls accessed from the Horseshoe/Burgess Falls track, especially good during/after rain.

Clue time.... I'm a stone's throw from a pretty good campsite (behind me), and at the top of a recognised pass.

That bit I guessed. Narrowing it down with limited experience of the area is more tricky. For the sake of a guess, Quilty's Mountain?

You're within a couple of hours' walk so that'll do.

The photo was taken from just behind the campsite at the top of Watson's Pass, just around from Folly Point.

Well, since there haven't been many from Victoria recently, I'll put up this one. What river inlet is this?
