ribuck wrote:Thanks, johnw. But just to be picky, you've captioned your photo as "Tinpot Mountain" whereas it shows Tinpot Hill. Tinpot Mountain is almost west of Ironpot Mountain, only 300m from Goolara Peak.
Tyreless wrote:Psst, ribuck, I think you should change the name of the photo - it's a bit of a giveaway

This is in Blue Mountains NP. The name of the photo file is a clue as to the name of the feature on the right-hand side of the photo.
johnw wrote:I've been studying this, the features on the right look very familiar but I can't quite reconcile the background. The clue makes me think it is Venus Tor. In which case I've been there but I don't have my own photos handy to confirm.

Yes, it's Venus Tor. Lots of great views in that part of the world.

Tyreless wrote:Right part of the world but this ridge is not named after a dog.
johnw wrote:Not confident but I'll try Pots and Pans Spur.

ribuck wrote:Perhaps the hills in the left distance are where people are monging some iron. In which case you've just humped some scrub (or perhaps scrubbed a hump).
