Great shot. Looks like the Colo River from the Mailes Ridge track or whatever that track is called.

Yes, it's the Colo, so over to you crollsurf. To get this view you need to be off track. I was exploring routes from the Gospers Ridge Fire Trail down to the river and back. This photo was taken on the way back up at around 996 846.

No NNW, sadly for you nowhere near the Grampians, but the rock structure certainly looks similar.

Nope.

We are getting geographically closer though. Right side of Victoria at least.

Perhaps a clue is in order to keep this moving.

I'm not in the Alps or the High country , but I drove there via Heyfield. Looking the opposite way from the top of this Mount I could see the plains of Gippsland.

Indeed Eggs did beat you to it.

Mt Hedrick it is and its certainly worth a visit. Next time I'll go mid week to avoid Knuckleheads on motor bikes tho. Some lovely walks along the Avon river at Huggetts Crossing where we stayed as well.

Go Eggs!

The photo is a bit deceptive - as this top is actually on a sharp ridgeline.
