I have been there many times, summer and winter. The diagonal rocks are a good place to cross, boots on and dry feet. The pic was taken from the cliff (well, seemed like that to me) on the Mawsons side. The hut is maybe 10 minutes away and uphill, mostly. The next pic is in NSW.

Reminds me of Govetts Leap Brook, just upstream from Junction Rock?

There's a very good reason that the pic reminds you of Govetts Leap Brook just upstream of Junction Rock, mainly because this is where I was. Your go.

For my next guess (taking the midpoint of a line between the two guesses to date) - the Tonali Range near Tonali Pass

Still a bit too far south, and wrong side of the Kowmung (although both sides of the Kowmung are visible in the photo)

Actually went off half cocked a bit (was typing while boarding plane), might have confused lower slopes of gingra with Scott's Main (not sure without getting to a computer) .... Everything else in the above post is def right tho

Is a bit.... Thought the features in the photo would be enough to trace back to the origin. Cloudmaker is within a few k's so that'll do.... Photo is actually taken from Mt High and Mighty (on its northern slopes), looking across the southern end of Ti Willa across the Kowmung Valley towards the Blue Breaks (Broken Rock etc.)

I feel a bit like a thief, after Jonnosan did all the hard work.... I'll get over it.

Next, in NSW...
