Not Nichols Gorge but very close. Nichols was actually bone dry and we ended up walking it through the middle of the creek.

Well, it will have to be Clarke gorge then :)

Completely dry? I would love to walk through the middle without water. When was your trip?

Yes, there aren't too many other choices . All yours.

Zapruda wrote:Completely dry? I would love to walk through the middle without water. When was your trip?

Just over 3 weeks ago, so I imagine it would still be like that given the dry weather. I couldn't believe it. Talk about contrasts. It had been some years since we visited previously. On that occasion the creek was in flood and we couldn't even cross it!

Interesting for sure, I will have to get up there in the next couple of weeks.

Still in NSW, name the body of water.

Mmm, are we still in the same area? This reminds me of the section of Nichols Gorge circuit where you leave the gorge and cross the plain back to Blue Waterholes (depending on direction of travel). In which case it might be part of Cave Creek?

Not Cave Creek but you are in the right general area. This photo was taken about 20km south west of Cave creek

So close John. This creek shares a name with the area it runs through. Hopefully that’s not too cryptic :)

So, putting two and two together and re-looking at the stream/s in the photo, I'm going to say Boggy Plain Creek.

Well that took forever, didn't think I'd get there . Port Philip trail access to Tantangara Dam was closed when we visited Blue Waterholes.

With all this heat let's cool off in QLD. But maybe not right here:

Scratched my head about this one until I realised I've been there . Crystal Shower Falls, Dorrigo NP. Has a bridge near it and you can walk behind the falls.
